Abstract

As part of the celebrations of the third centenary of Immanuel Kant's birth organised by the Grupo de Estudios Kantianos de Buenos Aires (GEK), on Friday 19 April 2024, two interviews were held with renowned Kantian researchers and also very dear professors of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires, Dr. Mario Caimi and Dr. Claudia Jáuregui. The activity took place in the framework offered by the Instituto de Filosofía Dr. Alejandro Korn - Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires. Professor Caimi was interviewed by Dr. Marcos Thisted. The central theme of the interview with Professor Mario Caimi is translation, especially of Kantian works. Guided by the interviewer, Caimi sets out the nature of its relevance, explains the difficulties and challenges faced by the translator and explores the various conceptions of translation that are often involved in the process.
